Not a whole lot to report, but what we have is very, very good! :D
New pics of Taylor at the airport(!!!), here at my Photobucket:
Not exactly sure which airport it was, as the original caption listed him as going from LAX to Austin and no date was given, but obviously, they're recent.
Either way, the hair looks great!!(For anyone that was worried about it *heh*)
Also, more pics from The Bang Bang Club at photographer Marcos Cruz's site, here-click on the download link in the upper right-hand corner to save them:
Unfortunately, the domain for the movie site of TBBC has expired, so not exactly sure what that means-hopefully, it will be up and running again soon.
Plus, FNL is casting for extras in Austin, from here:
...and for those who have already seen season four, they are casting for some interesting characters for season five that could have a "Riggins" impact-if you've seen it, then you'll know what I mean. ;)
And that's about it for the 'mo!!

WOW!!!!!
What an exciting day!!
First off, VERY happy birthday wishes to Taylor, who turns 29 today-here's hoping he has a fantastic birthday spent with friends and family, filled with fun and love and that he doesn't have to spend it all day working!
Cheers, Taylor, you deserve it!! :D
And secondly, HUGE news-Taylor has been cast as the lead in the upcoming movie, Battleship, which is being directed by FNL creator Peter Berg.
There are numerous links to the news around the 'net(and a HUGE thanks to Poupa for many of them!), starting here:
What an incredible birthday gift this must have been, huh?? :D
Taylor Kitsch, who is starring in "John Carter of Mars", is moving to another sci-fi tentpole, coming on board to star in "Battleship," Universal's adaptation of the Hasbro board game.
Pete Berg is directing the action adventure movie, whose story has drawn heat from some quarters for adding an "alien invasion" element to what has been traditionally seen as a grounded Naval game.
The script, by Jon and Erich Hoeber, sees an international fleet come together to battle a water-bound armada of otherworldly origin.
For Kitsch, the role continues his rising status. The actor has gone from playing blink-and-you-missed-it parts in "Snakes On A Plane" to being a key actor in TV's "Friday Night Lights" to playing superhero Gambit in XMO: Wolverine." He is currently shooting "John Carter of Mars," where he plays the title character of the Edgar Rice Burroughs book series.
In "Battleship," Kitsch is playing a Naval commander named Alex Hopper, described as "wildly spirited" and "a great seaman but a lousy politician."
Other key roles in the film include the female lead as well as a Japanese commander.
So, in other words:
WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!
Ahem......
In other news:
John Carter of Mars wraps up its' UK lensing stint and moves to Utah, where it begins filming April 15.
Actor Mark Strong discusses his role in the movie here:
And last, but certainly not least, a new group promo pic from XMO: Wolverine, here:

Apologies for being absent, my computer went haywire again and had to be fixed.Unfortunately, buying a new one just isn't in my budget right now, so hopefully, it'll continue to hold out until I can. :)
Anyway, onto news!

XMO:Wolverine is now playing on Cinemax and CinemaxOnDemand, for those of you who have that channel. :)
No extras that I can see yet. :(
An early review of The Bang Bang Club here, with praise for Taylor's performance:
"How was Taylor Kitsch(long haired actor playing Kevin Carter) in the film? How was his performance?
Kitsch was really good. Probably the most dynamic role. I think his character suffered a little when the film seemed to play it safe in regards to Kevin's drug addiction. It would've been great to see him take things further. But overall strong and memorable performance.

Geez, tell us something we don't know, huh?? :D

Big thanks to beware_pussycat, over at the TK LJ, who was kind enough to condense one extra's Tweets regarding filming JCOM and posted them here:
..and I quote, for those of you who were worried about it: ".....and no, his hair is 'long'.He looks a bit like Johnny Depp, I think....well, I saw him Wednesday-and his hair is shoulder-length..100% true..London"
So thereya go. ;)
:D
You can follow her here:
Actor Ciran Hinds also discusses the movie:
"Most recently, he took part in the currently lensing JOHN CARTER OF MARS, based on Edgar Rice Burroughs' novel. "I'm a leader of two warring factions on Mars," he explains. "John Carter, a Confederate soldier on the run, ends up in a rock formation, touches something strange, passes out and comes to on Mars. And then he faces all these extraordinary things—hairy giant white apes and such—and he gets into a love/hate relationship with this woman, Dejah. I show up playing her father at the end for a little bit of gravitas. She's played by Lynn Collins, who's done a lot of classical acting—Shakespeare in the Park—and was one of the X-Men [in X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE].
"The guy playing John Carter is Taylor Kitsch, and he looks like the real thing," Hinds continues. "It's a huge role; he's going to be knackered when he's done! I mean, you read it and think, ‘Whoa, you've got so much to get through!' " I've just done my first day, and greenscreen was everywhere. It's a really creative computer-generated animation/live action project, directed by the great Andrew Stanton [who previously helmed the animated hits FINDING NEMO and WALL-E], so it was a thrill to be asked to be part of that one."
And I THINK that's it!!
I know a nunber of you have contacted me regarding updating the gallery, and believe me, it's foremost in MY mind as well. I have some time off coming up after the Easter holiday and I hope to at least START working on it then, so hang it here, we WILL get it done and updated-that's a promise!
Anything I forgot, I'll post tommorrow. :)

A few things. here...
First, an absolutely incredible article from the Los Angeles Times(it does have one pic that MIGHT be considered a spoiler, so be warned):
Still, at a time when NBC is being vilified, here is one thing it has done right. Despite paltry ratings, it has continued to support what may be the best dramatic series in the history of television (re:FNL). That's right: history.

We were ordering drinks when a friend recognized Taylor Kitsch, a Canadian actor most famous for television's "Friday Night Lights" and the most recent X-Men movie. And in other JCOM news Bryan Cranston talks a bit about his part in the movie here:

News we've been waiting for:
John Carter of Mars began filming principal photography in London today! :D
From here, among others:
BURBANK, Calif. (January 15, 2010) - Principal photography is underway in London for Walt Disney Pictures' "JOHN CARTER OF MARS." Academy Award-winning filmmaker Andrew Stanton brings this captivating hero to the big screen in a stunning adventure epic set on the wounded planet of Mars, a world inhabited by warrior tribes and exotic desert beings. Based on the first of Edgar Rice Burroughs' "Barsoom Series," the film chronicles the journey of Civil-War veteran John Carter, who finds himself battling a new and mysterious war amidst a host of strange Martian inhabitants.
Produced for Walt Disney Pictures by Jim Morris ("WALL•E," "Ratatouille") and Colin Wilson ("Avatar," "War of the Worlds"), the live action/animation film marks Academy Award-winning director/writer Andrew Stanton's ("Finding Nemo," "WALL•E") first foray into live action. Stanton directed and co-wrote the screenplay for Disney-Pixar's "WALL-E," which earned the Academy Award and Golden Globe for Best Animated Feature (2008); Stanton was nominated for an Oscar for the screenplay. He made his directorial debut with Disney-Pixar's "Finding Nemo," garnering an Academy Award-nomination for Best Original Screenplay and winning the Oscar for Best Animated Feature (2003). He has worked as a screenwriter and/or executive producer on Disney-Pixar's "Toy Story," "A Bug's Life" (which he also co-directed), "Toy Story 2," "Monsters, Inc.," "Ratatouille" and "Up."
"I have been waiting my whole life to see the characters and worlds of 'John Carter of Mars' realized on the big screen," says Stanton. "It is just a wonderful bonus that I have anything to do with it."
The stellar ensemble cast is led by Taylor Kitsch (NBC'S "Friday Night Lights", "X-Men Origins: Wolverine") in the title role, Lynn Collins ("50 First Dates," "X-Men Origins: Wolverine") as the warrior princess Dejah Thoris and Oscar nominee Willem Dafoe ("Spider-Man 3," "Shadow of a Vampire") as Martian inhabitant Tars Tarkas. The cast also includes Thomas Haden Church ("Sideways," Spider-Man 3), Polly Walker (upcoming "Clash of the Titans," "Patriot Games"), Samantha Morton ("Elizabeth: The Golden Age," "In America"), Mark Strong ("Sherlock Holmes," "Body of Lies"), Ciaran Hinds ("Munich," "There Will Be Blood"), British actor Dominic West ("300," "Chicago"), James Purefoy ("Vanity Fair," "Resident Evil") and Bryan Cranston ("Breaking Bad"). Daryl Sabara ("Disney's A Christmas Carol," "Spy Kids") takes the role of John Carter's teenaged nephew, Edgar Rice Burroughs.
The creative team includes Oscar-nominated production designer Nathan Crowley ("Public Enemies," "The Dark Knight," "Batman Begins"), costume designer Mayes Rubeo ("Avatar," "Apocalypto"), cinematographer Daniel Mindel ("Star Trek," "Mission Impossible III," "Spygame") and video effects supervisor Peter Chiang ("The Reader," "The Bourne Ultimatum").
Plus, MANY thanks to FoolishGirl for finding THIS:
Trust me: You'll WANT to look! :D

Okay, well-the first news is the best news for those who don't have DirecTV: because of all the upheaval caused by the late-night "wars," NBC has revamped its' schedule and will begin airing epidoes of FNL S4 staring 30 April.
YEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSS!!**pumps fist**
Ahem....sorry.... :D
From here:
NBC has just unveiled its post-Olympics, Leno-free midseason schedule, and there’s good news for fans of Friday Night Lights who don’t have DirecTV. The drama’s fourth season — the one currently airing on DirecTV — will make its Peacock debut on Friday, April 30.
(Well, so now must take back "sarcasm" comment I made earlier and I promised I would, so duly noted and done.*Heh*)
In other news......
Bryan Cranston, of Breaking Bad and Malcolm In The Middle, has been added to the cast of John Carter of Mars.
Cinemax will begin airing X-Men Origins: Wolverine starting Saturday, 27 March-the nice thing about Cinemax is that they often show little movie-related clips and interviews throughout their schedule, so keep your eyes open if you happen to have that channel. ;)
FNL S4 E9, The Lights of Carroll Field, aired last night and, as always, Trace's review, here(thanks, hon!):
And reviews(some with pics)here(spoilers, so if you don't want to know, don't click!):
And speaking of pictures............
I forgot to post the link to the caps I did for The Covenant, so massive apologies all around(brain-fade again, apparently, sorry!), so they are here:
There are some new(still watermarked)FNL promo pics here(spoilers for upcoming episodes):
And some scans from a TK "mini-magazine" from Brazil here(and if anyone can tell us WHO that one pic is that VERY obviously ISN'T Taylor, we'd be most grateful!):
And...I think that's it for the moment!

Well, this isn't exactly new news, as we've heard the reports earlier and have pretty much been expecting it, but FNL's head honcho Jason Katims just confirmed it-that Taylor won't be back as a full-time regular on season five of FNL due to the filming of John Carter of Mars.
From here:
Take a knee, Friday Night Lights fans.
It's true. Taylor Kitsch won't be a full-fledged castmember next season.
I had a nice long chat with executive producer Jason Katims last night about Taylor (otherwise known as the fiery hotness that is Tim Riggins) and he told me: "Taylor is shooting a movie [John Carter of Mars] and it doesn't work out with his schedule to have him on as a series regular for FNL next season."
What the what? So does that mean we won't see Taylor at all? And what about the other "graduated" stars?
"I'm sure you will see Taylor next season," Katims assured me, after offering me his hanky. (What? I took the news hard.) "We are planning to have him come back toward the end of the season, and possibly do a couple along the way if we can work it out with production."
After more begging pleading responsible journalistic querying, Katims told me: "We love Taylor and we are doing everything within our power to get him on season five as much as possible."
Katims said he knew it was only a matter of time before Kitsch would move on to a big-screen career, especially after starring in the latest X-Men. "Taylor is not only incredibly talented but a real guy. Passionate, devoted, solid. We've loved having him on the show but we wanted to support him in this and give him a chance to shoot the movie, which will be good for his career."
And from here:
Friday Night Lights, which over the last season and a half has seen the departures of nearly all its original young cast, is about to endure another devastating blow. Popular heartthrob Taylor Kitsch, who plays bad boy Tim Riggins, will not be returning next season as a series regular, executive producer Jason Katims tells me exclusively.
Taylor found success on the big screen last year as Gambit alongside Hugh Jackman in "X-Men Origins:Wolverine," and later this year will appear with Ryan Phillippe in the apartheid drama, "The Bang Bang Club"." He is also attached to the sci-fi fantasy film "John Carter of Mars," which is set to start shooting this month. "Because this was a big opportunity for him, we wanted to let him do that," says Katims. "We'll stay in close contact with production and try to get him for as many episodes as possible."
But the show made similar promises about former cast member Adrianne Palicki, who left the series last season to star in a string of upcoming films that have so far ruled out any return appearances.
While the show's other young characters, including Tyra, Lyla (Minka Kelly), Smash (Gaius Charles) and most recently, Matt (Zach Gilford), all left to pursue higher education, it was explained at the start of the current season, that college was not in Riggins' future.
Instead, he has joined his brother in an illegal chop shop endeavor to raise extra cash to buy land. He has also entered into a romance with an under-aged girl. Either one of these scenarios could conceivably land Tim in jail, possibly taking the fall for his older brother, Billy, who is about to become a first time father. But Katims resisted commenting on the possibility of sending Riggins to the slammer, saying instead, 'You'll just have to watch.'"
Well, some Riggins is way better than NO Riggins at all, IMHO!! ;)

From here:
With NBC officially confirming that The Jay Leno Show will no longer air at 10 o'clock as of Feb. 12, what are its plans to fill the vacant slot?
"I will wait until the very last second making changes to the schedule," NBC chairman Jeff Gaspin said.
Among the more promising options, however, is an earlier-than-planned premiere of Friday Night Lights on the Peacock. Gaspin said episodes that have aired on DirecTV will be available for broadcast on NBC as early as March 1, though he did not indicate how soon the network would use them. Programmers had previously suggested a summer 2010 premiere for Season 4.
Okay, if they do, I'll take back my "note sarcasm" remark, I promise!
